Ujjayi
Victory over the mind chatter (chitta) using breath control.

The Ujjayi Pranayama Technique:

 

Sit in a relaxed position feeling your feet on the floor and your shoulders relaxed away from the ears. Try to relax the eyebrows, the lower jaw and the skin of the face. Bring your awareness to the breathing moving through you. Have appreciation of the breath. Notice the root of your tongue. Let it soften downward away from the roof of your mouth. This will create a spaciousness at the back of the throat. The breath may seem like it is moving through the back of the throat. Let this visceral feeling of the breath moving at the back of the throat and the gentle ocean sound of the breath calm your visceral body and your nervous system.
